How to measure:
Lay your jeans/shorts flat and have a measuring tape handy.
Rise: measure at the start of the crotch seam up to the waist of jeans. This will tell you if it's a low, mid, or high rise jean. So if you want mom jeans - then your rise will be over 10 inches! Low rise jeans will be approximately 8.75 inches or less.
Inseam: Measure at the same start point as the rise - except you are measuring down to the hem of the jeans.
Hips: Measure at the bottom of the zipper all the way across the width of the jeans.
Leg opening: Measure across the hem of the jean. The width determines the cut - bootcut, tapered, straight leg, wide leg, flare..etc.
Length: Measure from the top of the waist to the bottom of the cuff along the side.

Typical French mens' work pants in blue. Medium blue rather than bright blue or royal blue.
Thick poly cotton trousers with a button fly.
2 hand pockets, a coin pocket, a tool pocket on the leg, and one back pocket with button.
Belt loops on the waistband.
Hems with a 3/4" or 2cm turndown.
Measurements:
waist 42" or 107cm
inside leg 23 1/2" or 60cm
length from waistband to hem 38" or 97cm + 3/4" or 2cm hem turndown.
Hem width across 8 3/4" or 22cm
Rise 15" or 38cm
Condition:
Backside slightly thinner and plucked, crotch area lightly rubbed, bottom of hem a little frayed, and sun faded in areas.
