RARE ORIG VICTORIAN EDWARDIAN MENS 2 PC WOOL BATHING SWIM OCEAN SUIT GR8 COND

Description

A very rare find, an original Victorian to Edwardian men's wool two piece bathing suit. Yes, the scratchy wool. The top is tunic length, the pants are drawstring waist with a very wide crotch gusset. Both pieces have the seams finished inside with red thread. They were purchased separately, the top is a size 44 while the pants are a size 40. They are both in excellent condition; I have not been able to find a moth hole, not even a small one yet, I cant believe there are not any as all wool those old must have some. Thus if there are any holes,they will be very small. There are no seam openings. And no pullys in the wool along with being very clean.  Measurements are taken laying flat and across then doubled when appropriate; Top - 20" shoulder to shoulder, 38" (19") underarm to underarm, 35" waist, 40" hips and 33" mid shoulder to bottom -  Pants waist not pulling the drawstring is 38" Waist,
