    Wonderful vintage Avirex Raiders type jacket - note the waist cinchers/ half belt in the back and bifold sleeves. Lined with quilted rayon. I purchased this jacket NEW - from the old Avirex sample store in the Merchandise Mart in Chicago in 1992. I put all the wear into it. This is a tough, clean, hard wearing jacket. Avirex/Cockpit put a brand new liner into this piece. All in all a classic piece of American leather. This particular model may have seen little or limited production - depending on how many stores carried it. It has elements of the A2 flapped front pockets and the Type 440 USN carrier jacket - and may be a mashup, as opposed to a straight recreation.
